The reactions and behaviours of some children sometimes leave us perplexed and feeling helpless. What's behind a challenging behaviour? "Kids do well if they can", but what happens when they don't because they can't? Unfortunately, these children are often misunderstood, and their behaviours are interpreted as willful, intentional or even defiant. Once we understand that behaviours are usually communicating something, then we'll be able to respond to the underlying needs rather than react in a way that perpetuates the negativity cycle. There is a whole new science about brain development that helps us to understand challenging behaviours. Adopting a conscious approach that is based on this new science is a game changer. This workshop will help you to make sense of challenging behaviours, learn about the most common reasons why they occur, and offer you a step-by-step guide to manage them. By the end of this workshop, you will be better equipped to deal with daily struggles for  both you and for the children in your care.
